Male or Female UTAU?

If I want to cover or make a UST for a song but the lyrics are obviously sung from a female's point of view (e.g. referring to self as daughter/female), do I really have to use a female UTAU to do so?

Or could I use a male UTAU, and change a few of the lyrics to fit it? (e.g. musume (daughter) -> musuko (son)) Would that be completely inadvisable?

It all depends on you! A lot of people have changed it the lyrics in the song if they wanted (for example, Misha changed a few lyrics in Toluthin Antenna to suit her UTAU, Hachi Makune) So do what you feel like c:
