Utau errors and some sounds won't play in a VB that has them

I've had this issue for a while and I can't seem to find an actual answer on how to fix it, so here goes. I'm sure this is an issue with other vb's, but I primarily use Ruko's male kire and whisper bank so it's where I notice it. Specifically, I get this error message a lot:

The "ぐぃ" and other variants of "gu" don't work. Occasionally ”ヴ” and likewise variants won't work, but I think that's in the whisper bank that it won't work. I kind of understand why this error shows based on another forum post, http://utaforum.net/threads/error-messages-on-many-voicebanks.5345/ but I'm not sure how to fix it.

Help would be appreciated

The "Voice set report" window refers to oto.ini configurations. If you're certain that the samples you want to use have been recorded and are present in the voicebank, try redownloading the voicebank to get the original oto.ini file. If the original OTO is incomplete, you may need to configure it yourself.
