WELCOME TO THE TOUHOU (東方) PROJECT FANCLUB
The Touhou Project is a Japanese doujin game series primarily focused on vertically scrolling danmaku (bullet hell) shoot 'em ups made by sole Team Shanghai Alice member ZUN. There are also 5 spin-offs co-produced with Twilight Frontier that focus more on melee combat referred to as "fighting games".
Since the release of the sixth game, Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, Touhou has become incredibly well known for it's story, music, and enormous cast of characters (over 160!), and has spawned notable amounts of derivative works including songs, fangames and even a couple doujin animes!
