Not sure if I posted this in the right section, but just imagine this:
You've been working on a voicebank for quite some time. You've created a character, story, everything. You mayyy have gotten kind of attached to said UTAU but that's not the point.
You originally had him as a crappy CV voicebank that was missing a bunch of syllables, and had tried recording a VCV but it just never worked.
Finally, after about 35 minutes of recording a monopitch (pretty sure that means only one pitch.. I'm bad with terminology) VCV, you're all done and you generate the oto.ini. You have no clue what to expect, so you pull up a random VCV UST in your files and plug your new voicebank in.
You wait for it to render and listen to it
and
holy god
it doesn't sound perfect
probably needs ANOTHER (3rd) re-record
but

the excitement the you feel to hear your own voice through a japanese vocal synth program at 1:55 am is ASTRONOMICAL
that's what just happened to me
be ready to say hi to my first ever VCV UTAU (and my first ever UTAU voicebank I'm releasing), who will probably be released within the next few days if all goes well
