Raspy Voice?

I'm having a problem in which, for some reason, certain lines in a few USTs designed for English voicebanks make their voice go all raspy/whispery.
I'm playing with now is "Still Alive" - VCCV created by Ceejay Pastrana.
I've been experimenting with more than one UTAU so I'm pretty sure it's not the voicebanks themselves.
I sadly can't put the actual file down nor the audio file I prepared - something about them being an unallowed extension.
In the same playback, in the same line segment even, the voice would be playing normally then a moment later it would change into a "whisper" - very raspy and soft - just to pop back to a normal voice.

Check the per-note flags. You can quickly view them by clicking on the "P" button in the bottom left corner, and you can edit them by right clicking on a note and going to Note properties.
