How do i put space between notes in UTAU?

Hey guys! I don't know if anyone else has asked this question on the forum, but I have a small question - how do I put spaces between notes in UTAU? (Honestly - this is my first time asking a question on the forum, so I don't really know how things work here, thanks <3).

You have to put a "rest note" in between them. There's a button at the top that says "+R" which will add a rest note when clicked. You can also draw a note in between the two you want separated and edit the lyric to be "R" to add a rest note.
