Hey, hope this is an ok place to post this. I have some questions for anyone willing to listen to the cover above. I'm not so much looking for critique as I am opinions on what he sounds like gender-wise and tone-wise. I hope that makes sense.

So my questions for you are...
    1. What gender does TYPE A sound like? (There is no incorrect answer.)
    2. This question is hard to phrase. I'm looking to know what sort of voicetype he falls into. Soft? Raspy? Quiet? Timid? Things like that.
    3. If you were to give him an age range based on his voice, what would you guess?
    4. Does he sound generic?
    5. How is his accent? Is it too strong?
    6. What do you think I can do to improve TYPE A?
    Thanks!

    1. A young boi
    2. Soft??
    3. Like 14 - 15
    4. Kinda, but I mean that's totally fine
    5. I think it's "japanese-enough", tho really I'm not the one to judge this.

    1. TYPE A can sound like a teenage boy or a mature female. I tend to hear him as a boy though. They sound more female in his VCCV voicebank.
    2. They sound soft and a bit pouty??? I don't know how to phrase this x)
    3. I'll give them ... 17 - 20 years old!
    4. They sound softer than the average teenage male UTAU!
    5. Idk if they are accented, sorry ;;w;;
    6. Haah... I have no idea, I have not tested the japanese bank.

    I hope this helps!

    1) boy!
    2) timid
    3) 14-15 at most
    4) you dont find many male utau like him, but i still feel as if i heard the type of voice before
    5) quite noticable, maybe some tweaking to the super obv sounds (on hard consonants and w etc? i cant pinpoint it on one listen but i gotta run soon)
    6) what i wrote above! and watch the depth of your A vowel since sometimes the accent pokes thru it hehe, but otherwise it's a really pleasant voice :D

    1) Younger boy/older female
    2) Definitely a softer VB
    3) if we're going with the boy thing, like, 14-16
    4) Not particularly, but I also don't scour the net for different UTAU. (mostly I've heard the really popular ones and whatever's on the showcase here)
    5) its not terrible, but it is accented. I can hear the closing off that English does at the end of "u" and "o", making them sound like "uw" and "ow." (eg, at 2:01 "tsuwwwwwyowwwwwgari") As previously mentioned, the stops/hard consonants (p, k, t; t in particular) are sometimes a little too hard and aspirated. "a" strikes me as slightly too far back, too much like English's "ah" sound (a in father), but this one is perhaps more excusable. the "o" and "u" are the most noticeably accented sounds imo.
    6) Pretty much just what i said in 5.

You were someone I really hoped would reply here, and your mention of my pronunciation is incredibly helpful! Mind if I PM you for some tips regarding that?

Also, I'm going to throw this idea out there, feel free to decline. Could we maybe voice call sometime? I feel like I may need sort of a tutoring session for improving my pronunciation, but if you don't want to I'm sure I can figure it out! Thank you though, your comments are very very helpful!
