ust really glitchy when I try to fix - modulation

So I was making a UST, I was putting the letters in, when I wanted a short note cutting of the other not so you can get a " R " . when I put the letter in it shows a " - " modulation. So when I try to clear it there is a error message showing, "Subcript out of range" I don't know what's causing this. I tried to put the utau folder outside of programme files it still happens. also here's a video about what is happening. there is no way pass this. any help?

edit: also here's some other stuff I've already did, locale was set to japanese before downloading the installer, decimal setting is set to a ".". UTAU folder and files are outside programfiles.

try setting mod to 0, maybe? I've found mod doesn't like to work with blanks.
