I agree with improving your environment. While I don't have any samples on hand right now, there was a huge difference in the end result when I recorded in the living room versus recording with my microphone inside a blanket-lined box. The reverb of your room is EXTREMELY noticeable once you get to stuff like CVVC.

Honestly just a *high/mid* quality mic alone doesn't make an Utau sound great. Yea the mic may be good tech wise, but if you don't know how to use it to your full advantage with an audio program (like Audacity) then quality won't be as great.

Used a Samson C01U, when I first got it everything sounded so terrible and fuzzy, even after editing on Audacity xD but after a while I got the hang of it and were able to make more quality audio.


*update* oh, the Samson C01U I got was on a bundle pack sale for $100 on Amazon
