UTAU-Synth produces no sound whatsoever

(first time posting here, apologies if it's in the wrong place)
Just downloaded and installed English patch on UTAU Synth and tried playing a ust with Teto just to see if it works, but it produces no sound at all. Any help / how to fix it?

Because Kasane Teto is in a ZIP file, you're able to use the default unzipping utility. However, this may cause problems with the text encoding. Be sure to use something like Unarchiver to make sure that Japanese text isn't corrupted.

Once you have Teto installed properly, you should also make sure that you're inputting Japanese hiragana lyrics. You can easily add a Japanese keyboard in your system settings, and whatever you type in romaji will automatically become hiragana.
