The UTAU Process

Momo's Minion
Aka, what I've been doing the last two days (well, the past week counting the first two steps)
  1. Decide you want to make an UTAU
  2. Don't actually do anything for like a week
  3. Finally get the motivation to get off your behind and make it
  4. Record all of the voicebank in one sitting at entirely too late a time of night
  5. Have a machine do the oto for you because screw doing otos!
  6. Try to create the frq files
  7. Realize it's taking entirely too long
  8. Shut down your computer and go to bed
  9. Realize the next day that you didn't edit your audio files any
  10. Delete the frqs you had generated
  11. Try to edit them in one massive go in Audacity, only to have the program crash
  12. Kick a chair
  13. Go through one by one and do each one for enough time to get frustrated with it
  14. Realize you can do it in little groups to save time
  15. Make the frqs
  16. Think you're finally done
  17. Play a song to realize no, some of the audio files ****ed up
  18. Delete the files that are causing the problem
  19. Re-record them
  20. Re-edit them
  21. Re-generate the frqs
  22. Wonder if you should redo the oto because of the new files
  23. Redo the oto anyway
  24. Think you're finally done!
  25. Think that no, once people hear it, they'll have critiques and you'll have to go through more work like this
  26. Bang your head on the keyboard
Wash, rinse, and repeat for every voicebank you want to make.

I got my mic three days ago and I haven't done anything with it yet except record the sounds of dogs barking
You've been way more productive than I, haha

Also:
  • decide to use oremo, but click stop at the wrong time and you can't record again (anyone else get that glitch?!?!)
  • decide to create your own reclist and almost complete recording, than realize you forgot a vowel
  • same as above but forgot a consonant
  • finally finish a multipitch but realize it's not consistent sounding in each pitch
  • die
