I'm sure if I was anything more than an noobie at mixing, I would be able to figure this out for myself... but please, if someone can help me...

Here's the fiend I'm trying to mix:

Somewhere near the beggining, when the music softens, the UTAU vocals get significantly louder for a bit until the music turns up. I'm thinking it may be because of the clipping? I comprimised a lot of the loudness so the clipping wouldn't be TOO outrageous, but, is there a reasonable way to fix this? I'd really appreciate tips, or even a solution... ;A;

Problem solved... thank you stormylullaby ;w;

Re: [Mixing] Spontaneous Loudness D':

Did you compress the vocals before mixing it with the off-vocal? o3o
The compressing evens out the volume of the vocals & gets rid of clipping, & even after you mix the compressed vocals with the off-vocal, you should compress the final result again so the volume is for the most part consistent.

Ah, I did what you said--I had already compressed the vocals, but not the mix--and it for the most part worked(I did have to reduced the volume still though.) Thank you C:
