pft, well after looking and being a bit depressed, I go off into the jungle to find some things I can use for tools.

Now that I got my tongs I toss the shell/bucket into the fire to sterilize it, while attempting to not completely burn it.

Alright, I grab out the shell and rest it on the sand to cool down. I look for another item to carry water with.

Incredibly lucky, a dented plastic bottle lies on the shore ahead. Strange, for an island such as this one, don't you think?

I follow the pink vines back to the spring and fill the plastic bottle. While I'm there I also see if there might be some fish or edible critters living in and around the spring.

(filling the bottle + looking for fish would be two actions, actually three since you had to walk back to the pond first, but I'm a bit lenient with that).
