Hello. I've had a weird problem with UTAU that has been going on for a while. When I try to load in a kana encoded voicebank (sometimes it isn't kana encoded) into the bank registry window, no sounds appear in the sound folders. Furthermore, Japanese characters appear in an awkward font on UTAU and File Explorer. Examples:
N6HC0j6
nR4zhJ9
Vodm2BU

As I said above, I have had this problem for a long time. I would like to not be restricted to Romaji/Hiragana only voicebanks and would like to use these ones, too. Thank you!

Is your computer in JP Locale? You have quite some mojibake.
I'm afraid to put mine in JP Locale as I don't want my computer to turn to Japanese language (I'm running Windows 10 if you didn't know). I'd also like to note that this usually doesn't happen with CV voicebanks encoded in Romaji (and only Romaji CV VBs).

You have to change just the language of non-Unicode applications.
