How to use appends?

So uhh i've been wondering how to use appends. I was reading a few threads and I thought that some UTAUs have appends that are separated into new voicebanks. So I thought is there a way to combine it with a normal voicebank? can it be used on the same UST? or is that any guide for it?

You can combine any 2 vbs. Well my suggestion is that you can move the contents from the append folder into the normal vb's folder. Note that an append's prefix map should be edited like maybe add an A to あ that it turns from あ to
あA ( " A " meaning append ) so that you can clarify which vb your using . In this way you can use both vb's in the same ust with ease.
