Hi, I'm Still Confused. (No Voicebanks will sing)

"I'm quite new to UTAU and I have no idea what I'm doing. As such, I cannot figure out why none of the voicebanks I download will sing. I've downloaded (and uninstalled/reinstalled) Mizune Kiaru and Olt (?). Both respond properly when I hit "sample", but once I start writing notes, they become mute. I have already uninstalled UTAU as well. Still, the only voice that will sing is Uta/Defoko. Could someone please help?"

I initially posted this in "Introductions" by mistake, an I was advised to move it here. I do have my locale set to Japanese, and I have made sure that my decimal symbol and digit grouping symbol are correct.

Hello there!
Both those voicebanks seem to be VCV. As such they require lyric inputs that include the previous note's vowel. eg. instead of [か] [え] [る] the lyric input to the notes would be [- か] [a え] [e る].
If you already have done that, then I recommend posting a screenshot of the .ust-file in question and an image of the voice configuration window (ctrl+G).
