Hi! I’m Ego and I’m looking for a hand creating my Utau.

I am a very anxious person and one of my biggest phobias is computer viruses. I have multiple firewalls and I keep my PC very safe, and I’ve heard OREMO is a safe program but I worry about it because I’ve heard that the link to the download site downloads the program without asking which is a little concerning ... Just making sure that OREMO is safe?

Secondly, would a blue snowball work for recording? It’s the only mic I have. ): it’s pretty nice and I use it when playing online games for voice chat and people say the audio is really clear.

Third, would anyone be willing to help me with a reciclist? Is that what they’re called? It looks a little too complicated for my pigeon brain. I’m good with some things, like philosophy homework, but I’m not an incredibly techy person. I know about as much as your average teenager who plays a lot of video games.

    thank you kindly!

    1) Yes Oremo is safe. Just about everyone in the UTAU community has downloaded it and is just fine.

    2) It'll work fine. Its not the best, but its better than a phone mic or headset mic and it'll definitely get the job done.

    3) Not sure what you mean. You don't have to write your own reclist. There are plenty available online (including here on UF) that you can use. If you need help finding one, though, someone can help point you in the right direction.

Ensure that you're downloading the latest official English version of OREMO from this website: https://osdn.net/users/nwp8861/pf/OREMO/files/
If you download it from any other source, you might be downloading an older, less stable version.
