I'm a bit biased because Mitsurugi with slightly different kanji is the surname of a character I really like, but I say to go for it! I think it's better than the more common "____ne" or "____oto" surnames no matter what. (no offense to the people who use those last names, of course; my UTAU was like that at one point)
