How to alias ending breaths

I see how they're recorded in existing voicebanks, and using that as a sample, how do you add (what I assume would need to be done) the alias of, example, "a R"? Even oto'ing it makes sense to me and I understand that, but actually adding "a R" etc as valid samples for UTAU to pull from the end of a string is where I'm missing something.

I hope that made even a little bit of sense, lol.

To do it in UTAU, you can duplicate an existing alias for a string and then rename and configure it.

First, find a sample and duplicate the entry.

Then, re-oto one of the samples how you want. Not like this I ****ed up the cutoff but you know what I mean--

Last, rename the entry and hit "Set", then "OK" to save the changes

I highly recommend using notation like [V -] and [V R] for ordinary ending vowels, and something like [V hh] or [V br] for breathy ending vowels. In most cases, singers don't exhale dramatically at the end of every single phrase, so ordinary vowel fades are very useful to include in a voicebank.
