Need advice about starting my own UTAUloid!

Hello!
As I´m a very impulsive person and have a hard time at decisions, I have been planning for multiple years now to release my own UTAU but failed many times...
Now I really need your advice here.
As many of you says it´s best to have a character design that´s suits the UTAU voice.
To start with, I have a very hard time to decide what type of voice I should record as my voice sounds rather androgynous.
What is the best option for the character design type here for an androgynous voice like mine?
A female(my gender I was born with)or a male voice?
Or maybe a tomboy as this is my general personality?
I have´nt recorded my voice yet due to this, but I´m willing to record and upload on soundcloud if you want to listen.
The other alternative is to voice-acting, which I´m not sure if I´m good at this...
Maybe it´s just me but I think when I sing in high notes my voice sound rather falsetto-ish, not so girlish...
But if I reverse my voice to lower tones I´m not sure if it sounds like a male at all.
My voice only get lower and lower by the years passing although I´m female...
So if you have any suggestions, please let me hear them!
Where should I start?
Oh, and one thing!
As I'm also very self-critical and such I´m not sure If I´m doing right with the OTO.
I don't understand how we can see if we need to alter an UST for an specific voice too.
Sorry for long text, I thought it was best to give a clear explanation of my situation.
Thank you in advanced.

You may want to wait until after you've finished producing the voicebank to come up with a character, so that you have a full understanding of what it sounds like once it's in UTAU. I highly recommend using your natural singing voice, at a comfortable middle pitch.

You can refer to this guide regarding basic CV OTOing: https://utaforum.net/resources/cv-otoing-guide.269/
If you're willing to wait in the queue, though, I do offer a CV OTO service for free where you can see how this method is applied to your own voicebank.

When you use a premade UST, you need to make sure that it's been cleared and fitted to the current voicebank. Select all notes, right click on one of them, and choose "Region Property". Press the "Clear" button so that Preutterance and Overlap have empty boxes. Click "Details" to show more properties, and make sure that the STP box is empty too. If it's gray, just click on it and hit the space bar. Once you OK out of this window, press the small RESET button in the top right corner of the main UTAU window, then P2P3. (You could also use P1P4, but they both do the same thing if you don't plan to edit the envelopes.)

That´s nice of you too take your time to read this, it makes me happy! Ok, I think I go with my natural voice then. I only hope my mic works too, I have some static noise than seems to be impossible to fix in my mic. That´s very nice of you to offer some help! Thank you so much!
