I think both design are fine. In first design she look more extrovert, in second design she is more introvert. But since I never heard her voice, I don't know which design will match the voice.

I think tuning & mixing skills play important part. Because if you suck at tuning & mixing, even though you use hi-quality Vocaloid the result will not sounds good.
