Hey!!! So Aero's Tagalog CVVC has been finally released, and the reason I made it was because I had Commisioned Dasu to make a song using him!! I'm super excited, but along the way I realized there are a looooot more Tagalog speaking Utau users and I'd love to connect with you guys!! I'd also love to see more Tagalog content out there like more USTs and covers, also some critique on my Voicebank would be wonderful!!! Thank you so much for reading through this whole thing!! If you want to try Aero out then here's his download: https://exit.sc/?url=https://drive....o3KJ7z_Hye6HIYREPqL-ye0fe7ou/view?usp=sharing

Again thank you so much TwT!!!!

Heyo there!!

I've tested out your VB, and made a short thing using him here: https://clyp.it/p4mslify
So far, it sounds really nice, and I like his tone! He handles high and low notes pretty well, in my opinion!

There are some things I'd like to point out though, if you don't mind!
  • In Tagalog, consonants are unaspirated. Be careful with those, especially with /t/ and /k/!
  • The vowels kinda sound inconsistent, sometimes they sound too open or too closed. Compared to English, Tagalog only has 5 vowels in total! I'd say they sound like Japanese vowels (although the u sounds more like oo in boot)
  • I actually commend you for the /ng/ sounds! They sound pretty good! That being said, it would be better if it sounds a bit more 'harder', if that makes sense? Some say that the Japanese /n/ sounds like that, though I've heard that the Korean /ng/ sounds very similar to it too!
That's all! Other than those, your VB is pretty nice, and I might use it for something in the future, if that will be okay

Off topic but my dad used to sing that song all the time and I thought he made it up out of a personal anecdote and now I see that it’s a real song.

Aside from the things pointed out above^, I think the VB sounds fairly good/understandable. Just one more general thing I’d like to point out is that the vowels sound a little bit “tall” if that makes sense? It might sound more “native” if things were pronounced with a “brighter”/wider, almost smiley tone.
