Synthesizer V

New voice synthesis program in the works by Kanru Hua (arpasing and moresampler creator). It is currently unknown if this program will support UTAU voicebanks or if we'll even be able to create our own, but regardless, the demonstration is fantastic. I will keep this post updated when anything new related to Synthesizer V appears. Could this be the answer to UTAU becoming outdated? We'll find out in time!

I apologize in advance if this is a duplicate thread.

Kanru Hua may update people via Vocalsynth.space and his website. However I think it's still a good idea to post here in order to share our thoughts!
(Plus more people get to know about synth V!)

Ah, alright. I assumed surely he had a blog or some place he was sharing information about his progress with this program. I thought it may be a good idea to get a thread for it here on Utaforum as well even though I suppose now that's a bit redundant haha.

It looks extremely impressive and promising, not gonna lie. I don't want UTAU to die, so I hope voicebanks can be used but jeez, if there's a synth I think has a chance at besting them all I'd bet on this. Kudos for Kanru.

My only gripe about this so far is, if it is going to be compatible with UTAU banks, I'd still like to use VCCV as my method of English. I still have yet to really understand arpasing. OTL I really hope that if we can create our own banks, VCCV will still be around.

Woah! The interface looks nice~
The thing that amazed me the most is, seeing from the Ubuntu icon over there i can say Synth-V is Linux compatible!
Linux rarely gets vocal-synth program so i'm very excited to see more updates^^

Synthesizer V, while at this stage, appears to have a lot of promise and potential especially for us UTAU users, and given that Kanru Hua is really into studying vocal synths even at such a young age, he really has a lot of avenues where he can go with it.

As for supporting UTAU voicebanks, only time will tell, since I can imagine it would involve a lot of programming to port them over to Synthesizer V if that's even possible.

Woaaah this is nice looking! And it's really clear (but is that just the voicebanks/method they use or is it how they're processed through the synth)
I do sure hope that you can use this with Utau banks and stuff, and maybe grow even more..Also, that English method used is Arpasing right?

Looks to be arpasing to me, with something sort of custom added on (hence whole words like "with").

It might work similar to vocaloid, type in the word, get the phonemes. Perhaps on some he used the phobemes to get clearer results.

Personally, I wouldn't mind one specific reclist actually, so long as one can record their own and it's flexible but not too flexible. One of the issues with UTAU is its learning curve and having a number of different reclists is part of that. Perhaps it will have a built-in assistant like with arpasing, that'd be great.
Honestly, from what I can tell with Kanru, he seems to have a love of synths and is mindful of UTAU, so even if right now the main focus is doing his own thing, it wouldn't surprise me if he made plug-ins/updates to help shift from UTAU to V.

High hopes, I have them~

the only concern I have is with the chinese bank, the rest sound nice to be honest very smooth, the chinese pronunciation still needs a little bit of improv imo. but everything looks really nice!

Kanru Hua created another synthesizer a few years ago
And this is much better.
He has enough experience to make a really good synthesizer
I believe it was called "Brokaloid"; Hua presented it at TED xPH.

I was unaware rOkalQd was his project!
(There seems to be an irritating censor on the word, so...)

here’s a UTAU Compatible Engine called RUCE
GitHub
It looks like he gave up RUCE and started developing moresampler
The word censor seemed to break the URL but anyway, I took a peek after I fixed it and it seems interesting indeed. Wish I could learn more.
