VCV recording issues

So, I'm having a lot of problems recording a VCV voicebank. I have tried Oremo on TWO seperate PCs and I always get the same errors. First, the application says that it doesn't have access to the folder I want to save the samples to. The hiragana also shows up as basically garbage text, even though my computer's locale is set to Japanese. It won't save any of the recordings to my folder. Would I be better off recording samples in Audacity? How would I do that effectively? And if not, how can I fix Oremo so I can record there?

Oh! That helped the whole folder situation but Hiragana from the reclist is still showing up as garbage text. How can I fix that?

If you're definitely under Japanese locale, it shouldn't be doing that. If you unzip OREMO with the default unzipper, maybe you could try using something else like 7z.

I always use winrar and never have any issues like that.
