Music composing with synthesized voices may be fun, but dealing with how western computers deals with Japanese characters is not, so I have created a tool to help dealing with this kind of stuff.

It seems that my account is not old enough to post to the resources page, so I will post here instead ...

With Kana Solver v3, you can:
  • Extract and install japanese encoded utau zip files without changing the system locale
  • Create your own rules to convert japanese characters to a romanized version
  • Automatically convert a japanese voicebank to romaji, this conversion is reversible, it also convert file names so you can use the voicebank without changing the system locale, but you still have to use ressampler.dll on non japanese computers ...
  • Convert UST file from/to romaji
  • Convert UST file from - to CV <-> VCV
