So to start out--
I sing with a low-ish voice. I am an Alto.
I have only ever recorded male voicebanks.
I'm trying to record a relatively strong female voicebank (at least just a normal strength) but my falsetto is too airy for what I want.
I don't want to commission someone else's voice...
I'm not sure if you have the permission to use Defoko's name. ^^"
Not saying you can't but you probably won't get a good response from the community with this.
See, I'm the opposite. I like VCV (for Japanese banks) much better than CVVC. I feel like VCV is smoother and I still don't understand how to oto CVVC. Like Yamine Renri (who is arguably one of the most smooth and realistic UTAUs) is a VCV
Also, when people ask for original songs they plan on selling, and you don't get any of the profit???
Like I'm not personally a producer but if you're asking me to make a song for free and you plan on selling it, I'd want some of the money.
I was extremely lazy so it took well over two weeks for me to record and "oto" (I wasn't otoing just messing with numbers)
I also saved all of the samples as mp3 files instead of wav so I had to hand convert them which probably slowed the process too.
yeah I see that but it's just that with very few tutorials, it's hard for newcomers who want to make a vcv to make an oto (I had no idea how to oto until a few months ago).
I think it's less on the lazy side and more on the "I have no idea what to do" side
when recording a vcv utau my parents from the floor above me (the computer is in our basement) said, "Wow--you should become a monk with your chanting."
My first VCV borrowed the oto from Ritsu and I didn't edit it at all.
I thought it was all good but looking back now, it sounds really off and not smooth at all.
