UTAU meetups?

I don't have any solid ideas, just thinking of this right now. But maybe there could be a meetup in Singapore for Vocaloid/UTAU people in this area?

I would so go if I lived near there, but I live half the planet away. ~_~
Seriously though, I've been thinking that there should be little meetups around the world for utau fans too, like...club meetings I guess?
Not sure if it's actually a thing or not,
but if not,
it should be.

I've been thinking about stuff like this for a while actually. While I don't think it'll work since UTAU users aren't always within distance, I've been thinking that people should form UTAU comms. Like Lolita comms. For those who don't know, assuming a city has a lot of UTAU user, the users of said city would come together to form it's own community. I'm going to use New York City for an example. The users would come together and be the New York comm. They could have meet-ups and go have lunch together (or something of their choosing), colab on projects and even do other things. And hell, there could be a contests between the comms every once in a while. But I doubt it could happen.

This is a great idea.

It might be wise to remember a lot of the UTAU fandom seems to be under age. I doubt you'd have much success with a kickstarter if the majority of the people you're aiming at don't have their own income. (Not trying to sound rude or anything.)

I think an UTAU meetup would be cool, but like HiddenVenia said, a lot of the UTAU fandom seems young. Perhaps too young.

heh... I guess a first step, or a good step, towards this is to know if there are any UTAU users in your region to begin with. Like I live outside of Philadelphia and I'm all but certain I am the ONLY one within the immediate region around Center City that even knows what either VOCALOID and UTAU are...

But who knows :p

Age may be an issue, I agree, though. Good communication is a good thing in this case lols

As a person living in a highly populated city, I know that there are DEFINITELY other UTAU users in this area. But the problem is just finding who they are..

I guess it's all just a matter of communication and planning. I think an ideal meet-up for me would involve music being played, probably obviously in some way. Maybe offering other users a turn to play something. Like a little open-DJ of sorts.

And considering how wide the range of UTAUs are, I think it's possible for the UTAU fandom to blend into others. Look at the furry fandom, for example x) probably wouldn't be difficult to start an UTAU panel at a furry con (and there's a huge one in my state which would be great).

If only there were a central place to go to so people could organize events like this >_> Because I have absolutely no idea how many UTAU users live in my region.....

I know one that's from New York City. Haven't seen him in a while but he logs on here once in a while.

Oh God, I live in Perak but I don't think I can go anyway. Takes like a millennium to reach Singapore (actually just hours XDD).
